Hooch® adds rewards for travel, dining and more

One of my first tech ventures, Hooch, is now moving beyond subscription drinks and is now adding reward points for a host of things us millennials want.

As a lot of you know, I was a part of the first core team for Hooch and was their Lead Mobile App Designer for a while. With such responsibility comes the opportunity to also pitch business ideas. Adding rewards points was something on the wish list for quite some time, which is why I am proud to see if finally come into fruition. This is a big deal for a few key reasons:

  • The core subscription drink model of Hooch works well for nightlife enthusiast (like me) to explore new bars and restaurants worldwide without the initial financial commitment of doing so. With Hooch, you get one free drink a day, every day, at the venues in the app – which is quite extensive.
  • When you redeem that free drink via Hooch and/or choose to buy other items from the Hooch-partnered bar or restaurant, you earn reward points that you can redeem for travel, hotels, and a host of other things that accompany the leisure lifestyle – so essentially, you get rewarded for kickin’ it! I mean damn…what the hell is better than that?!

A Win-Win For Everyone

One of the reasons I hopped on the team at the beginning was due to the love I have for the model. I’ve been an evangelist of it ever since. So with that said, if you haven’t already, go ahead and download the app and go out tonight to get a drink somewhere. Why not…its free!

You can also check out the full-detailed TechCrunch article on the matter as well (mama we made it!)

Also, tell me how you like the design progress of the app. Although i’m not operational with the company anymore, I still involved with the company from an investor standpoint. Let me know in the comments!

And lastly, check out the story of how I got to Hooch and the humble beginnings if you want a good startup story.

Peace ✌🏽
